About U-C IMC Space Rentals
The Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center is located in the historic Post Office building in the heart of downtown Urbana. We offer several spaces that can accommodate a wide variety of events at affordable rates for hourly, daily and weekly events.
The U-C IMC offers spaces for public and private gatherings ranging from as few as 10 to as many as 600 attendees. Amenities include a stage, professional lighting and sound equipment, tables, chairs and free wireless internet. Smaller meeting/breakout spaces are also available, as well as a public access computer lab.

The Urbana- Champaign Independent Media Center offers a variety of rental studios, available for rent as: art and music studios, classroom and workshop spaces, private offices, and private business space.
Benefits of renting at the U-C IMC include our centralized location in downtown Urbana, accessible parking, historic ambiance, 24 hour studio access, open access to the U-C IMC's wifi network, and all utilities (heat, air conditioning, trash and recycling) are included in the rent. We also offer flexible leasing agreements and offer discounted rates to the U-C IMC common performance, conference, and meeting spaces on an hourly basis.

Live Entertainment
The U-C IMC is home to an entertainment venue and gallery space. We can help you plan your own concerts, performances and live events. We provide training on our sound system, assistance in advertising your event and logistical support.
Adjacent to the stage area is a vibrant gallery space that can be rented for art displays and exhibits of all mediums.
The U-C IMC has a long history of artistic vitality and hosts several annual arts festivals including the U-C IMC Film Festival, CU Folk & Roots Festival, U-C IMC Music Fesival, and Urbana Children’s Arts Festival.
